Jackie Broo

Jackie Broo teaches Electronic Media Writing and Advertising for E-Media. Broo has worked in radio, Web writing, news writing, copywriting and advertisint. She has worked for Press Community Newspapers, Northlich Inc, Harris Corporation and the Cincinnati Enquirer.  Broo graduated from Ohio Universithy with a double major in journalism and English.  She started teach at E-Media in 2007.


Tom Deweese

Tom Deweese graduated from UC, majoring in Communications.  He worked as a news reporter in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from 1988 to 1994.  He was also an assistant news director at Channel 12 in Cincinnati.  He now works closely with the UC athletic department on video for the web and teaches Special Topics, Sport Reporting in E-media.  He has also launched BearcatSportsPage.com for students content.


Norma Rashid

Norma Rashid teaches News Writing and Broadcast Performance.  Ms. Rashid started working in television in Raleigh, North Carolina before she came to Cincinnati in 1983 to work as a news anchor at Channel 5 until 2000. Ms. Rashid started teaching with us in 2005 and loves the hands on experience students get in the E-Media division. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in journalism.

Ms. Rashid's co-anchor at Channel 5 was Jerry Springer. Hear her take on Jerry then and now and what she stresses in her teaching.


Steve Oldfield 

Steve Oldfield teaches History of E-Media and Research and Resources.  He has worked in television news production in several markets including Denver, Miami, Orlando and Los Angeles.  He currently works as a reporter for Fox-19 and his entertainment coverage is also seen on a national Fox feed.  Oldfield is a fellow of Georgetown University's Institute on Political Journalism and the Poynter Institute for Media Studies.


Matt Hueneman 

Matt Hueneman is teaching audio classes this year while Professor Tom Haines is on academic leave.
