Dr. Manfred Wolfram

Dr. Manfred Wolfram came to the University of Cincinnati in 1986 as head of what was then called the broadcasting division. As division head, he has been instrumental in the hiring and professional development of the current faculty, developing and updating the curriculum, and building strong ties with the professional community.
Dr. Wolfram teaches Introduction to Electronic Media Division, Sight, Sound and Motion, Survey of Film, Survey of Electronic Mass Media Technologies, and Global E-Media Communications.
His most recent accomplishment is the creation of the Munich Summer Curriculum which sends E-Media students to Germany each summer and brings outstanding German students to study with us each year. A photo of a luncheon in Munich this summer is above.
One of the first things, Dr. Wolfram did upon arrival at UC, was to establish the Electronic Media Advisory Panel, a group of leaders of local organizations which meets with him regularly to support the division.
Prior to coming to UC, Dr. Wolfram taught at Trinity University in Texas. His academic interests include meda aesthetics, dramatic production, film, and international media.
Dr. Wolfram’s Ph.D. is from the University of California at Berkley. He has bachelor and master degrees from California State University and the University of Illinois.

Donation to RWC Library

Dr. Manfred Wolfram assembled an extensive media library over his years as a scholar and professor.
As he approaches retirement, he donated the library to UC's branch campus in Blue Ash.
