Richard Cawood

Richard Cawood left the University of Cincinnati in April 2009.
Richard Cawood, an expert in digital photography and motion graphics, teaches the new media classes in the Electronic Media Division.
Professor Cawood teaches the freshman level Digital Core classes, plus New Media Studio I, II, and III.
Professor Cawood has created projection designs for several CCM opera, theatre and dance productions. His digital projections were also used in 2004 productions by the Cincinnati Opera. He also produced a 60 minute animation for an opera at the National Theatre in Prague and digital projections for a production of Showboat at the Stadttheater in Bern, Switzerland. Professor Cawood has been recognized with awards by the Broadcast Education Association for his online training gallery for E-Media students and for the website he developed for the Munich Summer Curriculum.
Locally, Professor Cawood serves on the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation’s Fountain Square Steering Committee.
Professor Cawood joined the E-Media faculty in 2002. His master of fine arts and bachelor degrees are from UC’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning.
