Bearcast Radio Launches Indie-Music Festival
UC Radio Station Kicks Off Fall Quarter
with On-Campus Music Festival
CINCINNATI, Ohio - September 10, 2008
– Bearcast Radio, the University of Cincinnati’s student-run radio
station is kicking off fall quarter right with Launch Music Festival,
a multi-genre independent music festival. Bearcast and 51three, a new
Cincinnati urban lifestyle magazine, will present the festival Wednesday,
September 24th at Bearcat Plaza. Located next to TUC & Nippert Stadium,
the event will run from 12pm until 7pm on the first day of classes.
Launch Music Festival will feature a
diverse collection of local and regional independent artists as well
as offer additional experiential entertainment, giveaways, and prizes
throughout the day. Students and onlookers will enjoy different artists
hourly, with Peter Adams and the Nocturnal Collective kicking things
off at 12pm.
“Launch Music Festival is the first
of many cool events Bearcast has planned for students this school year.”
said Caitlin Behle, Promotions Director for Bearcast. “We wanted to
welcome students back with something a little different."
The festival will be the first large,
outdoor music festival presented by either 51three or Bearcast Radio
and will feature a taste of several artists scheduled to play MidPoint
Music Festival the following weekend. The lineup of artists and scheduled
times is as follows:
