Wrap Each Month with "Brews & Bands"
Who says that Cincinnati doesn't have an indie music scene? Who says that there's nothing unique going on around Clifton on a Friday night?
Well, Bearcast is here to bring something special and unique to Clifton. Starting Friday, January 30, Bearcast will host "Brews and Bands" at Baba Budan's cafe on W. McMillan St.
On the last Friday of each month, Bearcast will host a showcase of Cincinnat-based indie bands. Great music and drink specials will be offered, and the best part of all...no cover charge! The show runs from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. and are sure to draw increased interest each month.
Bearcast promotions director Caitlin Behle hopes "Brews and Bands" will "support the Cincinnati music scene and boosts its indie cred."
On Friday, January 30, three bands will take the stage:
- Molly, Ben, and Eli will kick off the night with their low-key and relaxing acoustic folk sound supported by the amazing vocals of Molly Sullivan.
- Next up The Happy Maladies will combine their unique blend of mandolin, guitar, violin, and harmonious vocals to produce what they consider a "gypsy pop" sound.
- The Wonky Tonk, fresh off their CD release, The Super Holy Fantastic, will finish off the night of "Brews and Bands" playing some acoustic pop with a country twist.
So come to Baba Budans on the corner of W. McMillan and Clifton Ave. and support the growing indie music scene in Cincinnati each month. Get some drinks. Listen to the music. Relax.
