CCM Weekly Debuts
If you are interested in keeping up-to-date with the College-Conservatory of Music, the Electronic Media Division has you covered.
UCAST, a video production group in Electronic Media, has created CCM Weekly for the E-Media website and UC’s cable television service, Channel 51. The feature appeared on our homepage April 6 and a new version will be posted every Monday.
It is produced by sophomore J.T. Rooney and is written and anchored by junior Alex Doyle.
“We are doing this to get Electronic Media more exposure within CCM and to highlight the achievements of CCM faculty and students, ” said Alex.
CCM, the largest single source of performing arts events in the state of Ohio, hosts around one thousand events annually which will be highlighted on CCM Weekly. The segment also highlights awards given to students and faculty.
“We believe that this update will allow CCM to be viewed as a school that is keeping up with technology and new media, and hopefully it will be informative and interesting as well,” said J.T.
Dean Douglas Knehans, said the program “has tremendous potential for CCM.” He hopes to feature it on the new CCM website which will be launched in the fall.
UCAST, Channel 51 is shown on televisions across the UC campus. Alex is general manager of the channel and JT is chief operations manager.
CCM Weekly can also be seen on Youtube and Vimeo.
