Student Awards Announced

Eight outstanding Electronic Media students are the recipients of the 2009 scholarship awards.

Caitlin Behle won the Outstanding Senior Award of $1500.

Zac Schmidt was honored with the $1000 Radio/Audio Award.  Both of these honors are made possible through the generosity of John and Joan Strader.

Kole Ross and Kristen Liguori will be heading to New York City this summer thanks to production internship awards from Procter and Gamble.  Each award includes $6000 to cover living expenses in New York.

Alex Doyle will be interning at CNN in Atlanta this summer, thanks to a $6000 award provided by Time Warner Cable.

Daniel Rust won the Procter and Gamble Media and Programming internship. The $12,000 award will enable Daniel to spend a year studying and working in Munich Germany.

Sarah Craig will be a summmer intern at WLWT in Cincinnati. This $2500 award is from WLWT Hearst-Argyle Television.

And Ryann Walton was given $500, an award from the Radio-TV Alumni from the 50s and 60s.

The faculty found the selection process more difficult than ever this year due to a very strong applicant pool.

The winners and their parents were honored at a reception in May. Caitlin Behle was doing an internship in Portland, Oregon so was not present at the reception when the above photo was taken.
